I need a roommate to find a property.

I am going to be a first year grad student in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences PhD Program (BBSP) at UNC, starting fall 2017. I am looking for a roommate to rent a 2BR/2BA apartment, preferably one that is close to a bus route. I enjoy painting, hiking, and overall dog-petting. I am down to earth and respectful of others' properties as well. I prefer chill gatherings with friends, such as game nights, but I will not allow monopoly to tear us apart. My sleeping schedule typically consists of going to bed at 11pm, and getting up around 7am. I'm looking to move in to an apartment as early as August 1st, to get familiar with the area before school begins. I would also love to find a place with a washer/dryer but I'm flexible if there’s a laundry room nearby. Message me if you are interested in rooming! You can contact me here, or email me at: abby.h.cleveland@gmail.com

I have a property and need a roommate.

Hello! I'm a 26-year-old, third-year grad student in the Carolina-Duke German Graduate Program! I speak German and French, and I love learning about new cultures. I’m looking for a grad student/young professional roommate to share a townhouse located very close to the UNC campus, on Hillsborough St north of Morehead Planetarium. The A and NU buses go to campus, and it’s around a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride to Davis Library. My current roommate is leaving for the University of Memphis in the fall to do an M.S., so the back bedroom is opening up. It's the slightly larger bedroom, with beautiful morning light and real hardwood floors. The lease starts on August 1st, but because my roommate's parents live nearby she can leave a little earlier if necessary. The townhouse is two-story with two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. There are a washer/dryer and dishwasher in the unit. We are one of the end units, so we also get a really nice bay window in the living room, as well as a functional wood fireplace! There's a small deck out back too that backs onto the woods and Bolin Creek. Out front there is parking, one spot per person, and there is usually an open spot for guests. All the furniture downstairs is going with my roommate except two bookcases, but I'll be buying new furniture, so no worries! If you want to bring living room furniture, though, I'm open to that too. Small pets such as cats or bunnies are okay. I do not have any pets of my own. There is a one-time, non-refundable $200 pet deposit. Rent is $600 per person, per month and we also pay utilities, which run from $65-110 per month (heating makes it more in the winter), plus Internet (negotiable). All in all, your monthly cost would range from around $690 to $770. We rent from Carolina Realty of Chapel Hill. A little about me: I’m an ENFP! I love to talk and just hang out on the couch/at a café, but I also like reading (fantasy books are my favorite, as well as poetry). I also enjoy biking around the area, and I bake a lot! I drink wine/beer sometimes, but I don’t smoke or do any recreational drugs, and I’m looking for a roommate with the same preferences. I’m also a night owl, so I go to bed early when I have to teach/have class in the morning, but I often stay up late on weekends. But if I’m up, I’m fairly quiet (I use headphones to listen to music/Netflix), and I don’t party. I’d prefer a female roommate, and I’m very open to LGBTQ+! You can contact me with any questions and if you want to arrange a visit/Skype talk at alouisea@live.unc.edu. I look forward to talking to you!

I have a property and need a roommate.

The perfect apartment for a graduate student or young professional in the Chapel Hill / Carrboro area. Just three blocks away from Weaver street and on the J bus line, this apartment complex is located in downtown Carrboro, just off of Jones Ferry Road - all your favorite bars, restaurants, and taco trucks are just a short walk away! This is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment, so it is great for anyone looking for their own place, and at $625.50/month, it is very affordable. I will be moving out of the apartment in May to go live in a bigger apartment with my partner, so the sublet will span from May until the end of my lease in September. If the apartment sounds like what you're looking for, feel free to contact me here or at waylinyu@email.unc.edu. Thanks for your consideration!

I have a property and need a roommate.

We are two first year medical students (guys) looking for a third roommate (guy or girl) for our 3BR 2BA apartment. Rent will be approximately $550 to 575/month, utilities included. We are really easy going, work hard/play hard kind of people. Enjoy running, working out, soccer, piano, going out on the weekends, studying together, watching movies, etc. We keep the place fairly clean and quiet, though we tend to stay up later on the weekends. The apartment is a 5 minute walk away from a bus stop that takes you to the professional school campuses in 5-10 minutes. The lease goes until next March. We would like to find someone ASAP but are willing to wait until June/July to start the lease. Also, unfortunately the apartment complex has a $150 application fee and a credit check to get on the lease, so please keep that in mind. Only other quirk is that we like to keep a fairly cool (69-70F) apartment year round. Please reach out if interested!

I have a property and need a roommate.

I have an apartment in Carrboro (2 bedroom, 2 bath with Washer/Dryer in the unit) that is located within walking distance to Weaver and Franklin st. (200A Broad st; 2 min for either direction). The place is also located behind Milltown and Gourmet Kingdom, and a block from frequent bus stops found on Main st (J, F, CW.. Saturdays – CW and JN). It is a cozy place with lots of storage space and natural light. The rent for the available room is $700/month plus utilities. It also has a patio for a lazy afternoon outside if you would like some fresh air, also located a few blocks from Henery W. Baldwin Park if you like picnics or playing basketball. Move-in day is starting from 08/01/2017. If this sounds like a great situation for you, contact me (tytamir@email.unc.edu).
